Memorial Day – 2019 Guest Speaker Announced

As we prepare our Hearts & Minds for next week’s Memorial Day Hoist we are extremely pleased to announce our Guest Speaker, Mr. Charles Hartford.

Charles is a “San Diego” native and grew up in Fallbrook and Bonsall. Charles was accepted to and graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, he subsequently earned a Masters Degree in History from the University of Kentucky as well as a Masters Degree in Diplomacy and International Commerce from the Patterson School, University of Kentucky before serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of History at West Point.

But wait… there’s more, much more!

On his way to achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, Charles earned multiple Awards and Decorations many of them multiple times with a few listed here such as:

The Parachutist Badge
The South African Parachutist Badge
The Expert Infantryman’s Badge
The Combat Infantryman’s Badge
The Valorous Unit Award &

These and LTC Hartford’s other Awards & Decorations are certainly understandable as he is not just any Combat Officer but a RANGER having earned his Tab and exemplifying the Ranger Creed that “Rangers Lead The Way!!!”

Joining LTC Hartford will be his wife and family as once again we gather together to listen, learn and give honor to all those who served and “Fell” in service to our country.
